Anne Duffy is a trained nurse and midwife with many yearsâ€™ hospital experience, and has trained as a Gestalt psychotherapist. She has worked with the Irish Haemophilia Society (IHS) for the last seven years. She sees patients individually, provides family support, visits adults and children in hospital, and participates in regional meetings on hemophilia care. She is also involved in team meetings with hospitals that provide hemophilia care within Ireland.
Anne provides counseling and support to IHS members. She has facilitated sessions at the IHS Annual General Meeting and helped organize weekend workshops for specific groups within the membership. Currently, she is involved in weekends for adults who have attended or are in the process of attending the Compensation Tribunal for People with State-Acquired Hepatitis C and/or HIV in Ireland.
She also participated in a summer camp organized by the IHSâ€™s twinning partner in Bosnia & Herzegovina, where she facilitated art sessions for children.
